From the latest Google page rank or PR update, my JohnKhooDotCom home page has received a page rank of 1. I felt really happy about it once i knew it. It happened on 27/09/2008. When i first started to learn about SEO ( Search Engine Optimization) around three months ago, the first thing i came across was the Google’s page rank. Although i was not very aggressive in building links on my website to increase my website’s page rank, i am very happy and excited even though i received a page rank of 1 today. It was a good start for me.
I can’t deny that there are large “PR is useless” crowd on the internet that consistently ignore the benefits of having high PR websites. Well, a mental block is a hard thing to dislodge. Google is the company that computes, publishes, and uses Page Rank in their searches. It says that page rank reflects their view of web pages’ importance and makes pages more likely to score at the top of SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages), which i would say these are two mighty big benefits of page rank for our websites.
Moving on, i would like to achieve a PR 3 for my home page when Google’s next round of page rank update. I am not a SEO expert. That is why I spent most of my time in the last few months reading online to learn more about SEO especially Page Rank or PR. I know that there are many webmasters are obsess about PR simply because they understand the benefits of having a high PR website. Whether or not they are improving their websites PR for monetary gain or to score at the top of SERPs. At the end of the day, they will benefit from having a high PR website. That is why i am going into the world of PR game too.

After Google updated it, I lost my PR4.

Only PR3 left.
