Hey John,
You have done a wonderful job here.
Thanks for the hints.
I guess I have some idea which autoresponder will I choose now.

I was shocked to find out that only Aweber (I use Profollow, an Aweber reseller which still uses the older, better pricing-model) has easy integration with third-party software like shopping-carts (Paypal, Google Checkout, etc.).

Getresponse does not have third-party software integration.

Aweber has a major problem that may hurt your business. If you have a list and someone from your list buys from you, naturally you want to either tag that subscriber or move him to a different list so he will get a different sequence of emails. Aweber does not have tagging. So the lead would have to re-opt-in after the purchase for moving to the new list. GetResponse might not require re-opt-in (i am not sure). There’s no reason for a subscriber to verify opt-in again after the purchase. Unless there’s a way with aweber to bypass that I am not aware. Anyone knows a way?

Thank you for the awesome post. I already tried get response in the past, and I may use aweber soon.
